Thomas J. Hoover, CPA has over 30 years of in-depth experience working with high-net worth individuals and small businesses and their owners. Tom began his career in 1980 working at small local CPA firms in Lorain and Elyria while pursuing his degree. In 1987, Tom began working at Hausser & Taylor, CPAs and remained there until 1992, where he left the firm and founded Thomas J. Hoover, CPA & Company. Tom attended Lorain County Community College and Baldwin Wallace College. He became a Certified Public Accountant in 1987, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Tom’s experience includes tax research, planning and compliance in all phases of corporate, partnership and individual income tax engagements and representation of taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service with regard to examination and collection matters. He also has extensive experience in regard to preparation of financial statements and Quickbooks set-up, maintenance and review. Tom advises clients on many complicated tax issues involving S-Corporations, closely-held corporations, partnerships and individual tax planning matters.
